CHEF WARS 2025 is returning to the University of the Pacific on Wednesday, March 26 at The Marketplace at dinner. Executive Chefs from the University of the Pacific, University of San Francisco and Santa Clara University will be challenged with creating the most delicious offering for you.

MEET THE CONTENDERS

Team UOP (Home Team): Executive Chef, Zulma Rodriquez Rios & Chef Wars 2024 champion – Menu: Prawn zarandeado roll with potato chips with soy chili-lime seasoning; Vegetarian option – huitlacoche corn empanada with epazote and mushroom broth; Dessert and beverage: Fresas con crema triffle, and mangonada

Team USF (University of San Francisco): Culinary Director, Matthew Urban – Menu: Hickory smoked St. Louis-style ribs, jalapeno mac & cheese, ham hock braised collard greens, chipotle barbecue; Vegetarian option – hickory smoked oyster mushroom, mac & cheese, broccoli slaw, chipotle barbecue; Dessert – banoffee tart with banana custard, dulce de leche, whipped cream

Team SCU (Santa Clara University): Culinary Director, Eugene Zelditch – Menu: Halal chicken katsu with sticky rice, shaved cabbage , and katsu sauce; Vegetarian option – vegetable tempura kakiage with sticky rice, squash blossoms, asparagus, tentsuyu sauce; Dessert-petite mochi donut
